Ingrown Nail Service
The pain is the symptom. The cause is the problem.
Every ingrown nail has a reason — a jagged corner, a buried sliver of nail, debris packed under the plate, a nail curling inward, or a structural issue. They are all painful, but they do not all get treated the same way.
What happens at your appointment
Your ingrown nail service at Columbus Podology is a focused appointment that finds the cause of your ingrown nail pain and treats it — gently, with precision tools, no digging and no side-cutting. Most clients are free from pain in 0–3 days. If your nail needs reshaping, that can take more than one visit. Though relief comes quicker than full reshaping.
If your toe has any of these, see a doctor first
-
Skin that's broken or opening around the nail
-
Pus or drainage
-
Redness that's hot or warm to the touch
Does the treatment hurt?
If you are too tender to have me touch your toe, I can use a topical numbing spray as long as you are not allergic. Most clients describe relief, not discomfort. If anything I do is uncomfortable, tell me and I will adjust — we don't do pain here.
Will one visit be enough?
For pain relief, usually yes. Full correction — especially a curled nail — can take more than one visit.
Can you see the shape correcting brace under polish? What if I don't want polish?
The brace is thin and almost clear in color, so it is barely noticeable. I apply a waterproof coating so there's no need for polish. But if you would like polish, the brace is thin enough to hide under polish.
What if the brace falls off?
The braces can be fickle and sometimes come loose or fall off. I guarantee the brace, so if it comes off within 4 weeks of application, I will reapply it at no charge.
How much does it cost?
Each appointment is approximately an hour and a half. Your $325 investment means no more pain from shoes that squeeze your tender nail, no more trouble sleeping because of nail pain, and no more enduring having the sides improperly cut out in a way that only exacerbates the issue.
